      I don't know about saying a cover is better than the original...Pantera, as tight and kick ass as they are, was not able to fully render N.I.B., missing much of the bass guitar subtleties. That said, Pantera is a kick ass band.
      
      Fav Sabbath tune - A National Acrobat... downright inspirational!

        you're right rod. you can't say a cover is better than the original. its theirs and what ever comes after is just a remake. without the original, there would be nothing to copy. i should have said i like panteras version better.

          I'm not being a picky arse here....just that we as a society are drowning in re-makes of everything. It's kinda sad, but sometimes one is worthy, as is the case with Pantera's Planet Caravan. But I was suprised that, as tight and kick ass Pantera is as a band, they still fall short of Sabbath with regards to sheer technical skill.
          
          Pantera's vocals are totally killer in their rendition though!
